NOW

Designer, illustrator, speaker, educator, creative director, musician—yeah, I do a lot of shit. I create bold, unapologetic work that helps brands ditch the boring crap, own their space, and actually have some damn fun doing it. Whether it’s strategy or execution, I bring creativity with a side of wit, a splash of irreverence, and absolutely zero tolerance for bullshit.

Creativity isn’t just what I do—it’s how I live. I’m all about collaboration, community, and injecting some damn fun into the everyday. Raleigh/Durham is my stomping ground, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So let’s shake shit up and make a beautiful mess together.

"Known for his vibrant, playful designs and community-driven approach, Lenny has made a significant impact on the local creative scene. He is also an active speaker and educator, sharing his expertise at design conferences, workshops, and community events."

HEY MONKEY!!

THEN

From 2000 through 2021 I ran Hey! Monkey Design & Print, a multidisciplinary design studio specializing in branding, illustration, screen printing and creative community building. From t-shirts to posters, we loved turning creative ideas into tangible, wearable art. We were big on community too, working with local businesses and collaborating with fellow artists to make the areas creative scene even brighter.

I am most proud of being the go-to workshop space in the southeast to help people on their screen printing journey. From teams of 60+ to small businesses of one, I most miss the collaboration and excitement of showing people a new skill that may have changed their lives.

AIGA RALEIGH

for everyone

I would be remiss if my story didn't include the monumental impact that AIGA Raleigh and by proxy AIGA National had on my life both professionally and personally. I came into AIGA Raleigh at one of the lowest points in my life and they helped lift me to some of the highest highs that I never even imagined possible.

I became part of something larger and then in typical type-A person fashion helped grow it to something even bigger with others who had a similar passion for cultivating community. In my 10 years with the chapter as Community Organizer, Director of Uniting People, Vice-President and then ultimately, President, we were a powerhouse of community driven creative energy.

AIGA Raleigh strives to create a place where designing thrives for everyone. We do this by focusing on design empowerment, proving design impact, and uniting people to build an open chapter.
